The AquaLung Axiom i3 BCD is the same popular and comfortable size and shape of the Axiom BCD but with their simple and user-friendly i3 inflation system. Trading a traditional bulky inflator hose with a simple lever switch that controls the inflation and deflation of your BCD. i3 A small lever switch on your left hip controls the inflation and all of the dump valves intuitively. Traditional hoses need to be lifted to a certain position to allow gas to purge but because the i3 is connected to all of your dump valves, a simple flick of the switch will open them all so you can dump gas no matter what position you're in. The inflation system is attached to your BCD so won't float off or move around like a traditional hose so you always know where it is. A simple flick of the switch upwards inflates your BCD and pushing it down deflates it, simple. If you need to you also have an oral inflation tube so you can orally inflate the BCD if you need to. Wrapture The new integrated Wrapture harness system provides better stability and support with swivelling quick release shoulder straps which are secured closer towards the back to provide a more open but more secure fit, helping to prevent the BCD from rolling sliding on the body. GripLock The standard cam band tank buckle has been replaced with a new GripLock system which allows to set and forget the buckle setting after the initial fitting. Minor adjustments are easily made via a Velcro secured strap next to the buckle to make alterations for different cylinders simple. A safety feature has been integrated to prevent injury to fingers when tightening the clamp. More traditional features include valve retention strap, gauge and octopus pouches, flat e-valves to reduce snags, a knife attachment point and integrated SureLock II weight system.
